The Kew East Community Bank  has been a generous sponsor of the Society over a number of years. Grants provided by the Kew East Community Bank have allowed for purchase a Victorian-era bookcase for the History Centre. In 2013, the Community Bank provided a grant enabling us to purchase a laptop and a collection of CD-ROMS. These CD-ROMs contain the Sands and McDougall [postal] Directories from 1859. The computer and the disks allow us to undertake research on families, individuals and businesses that operated in Kew over a hundred year period, and to engage the community with these at our History Centre.

We gratefully acknowledge the assistance of the City of Boroondara in providing administrative, archival storage, and display areas for the Society’s use. Staff in the City’s departments, including the staff at the Kew Library, are also unfailingly supportive of the Society’s efforts to promote Kew’s history and heritage.
