Grants and Sponsorhips
We gratefully acknowledge the assistance of the City of Boroondara in providing administrative, archival storage, and display areas for the Society’s use.

The City of Boroondara has awarded grants to KHS in previous years for a range of projects. In the years 2020-2024, Council is providing us with a Triennial Operational Grant that will support the delivery of our programs. We have also been awarded two grants during 2020-2021 for special projects – Stories They Tell, a book on the history of Kew through an exploration of significant items in out collection; and a new Oral History Studio at the Kew Court House. These two grants will strengthen ‘creative’ community participation in cultural activities.

The National Library of Australia has during 2019-2020 awarded the Society funding to employ consultants to conduct a Preservation Needs Assessment of our collections. Due to COVID-19 restrictions impacting on the Victorian Gallery & Museum sectors, this grant has been extended to 31 March 2021.

We also welcome corporate and private sponsors to contribute to the delivery of our core activities (eg lectures, exhibitions, research projects and collections care). If you are interested in becoming a sponsor please contact our Secretary <secretary@kewhistoricalsociety.org.au>.
